The capsule features a highly limited run of numbered pieces, guest-designed by Rolf Ekroth, the most globally known Finnish new generation fashion designer. The Rolf Ekroth for Marimekko collection draws inspiration from contemporary streetwear, Nordic functionality, and Marimekko’s globally renowned art of printmaking.
The capsule features seven styles ranging from casual daywear to elevated outerwear, each showcasing newly commissioned Marimekko prints by Danish textile artist Vibeke Rohland. The collection includes two jackets, an apron dress, an anorak with a matching drawstring skirt, a cotton knit with removable sleeves and a relaxed fit T-shirt.
Meet Rolf Ekroth
Helsinki-based Rolf Ekroth is known for his boundary-pushing approach to outerwear, bold pattern combinations and reinterpretation of traditional Finnish craftsmanship. He was awarded the Galeries Lafayette Prize at the Hyères International Fashion and Photography Festival in 2016, and his work has been presented at Copenhagen, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks.

Inside the story of the prints
Throughout 2024, Vibeke Rohland worked on site at the Marimekko printing factory in Helsinki, developing new artwork together with the factory team. The collaboration yielded a series of ten large-scale prints that join Marimekko's archive of more than 3,500 patterns.
