Paavo Halonen is a Helsinki-based contemporary artist born in Enonkoski, a small rural parish in eastern Finland.
Paavo's roots, filtered through a rich cultural background, are immediately apparent in his work. In recent years, he has spent extended periods in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Paris, and Tatarstan. Paavo has been collaborating with Marimekko since 2011. His most famous Marimekko prints include Sahalaitarata (sawtooth stripe) and Torstai (Thursday).
