Japanese designer Katsuji Wakisaka created prints for Marimekko from 1968 to 1976, and again in 2001.
Wakisaka's designs are characterized by free-spirited and playful pattern compositions and vibrant, lively colors. In 1975, he designed the Bo Boo print, which quickly became a classic upon its release. Particularly in the United States, Bo Boo inspired an assortment of incredibly diverse and colorful products, including bed linens, towels, bags, and tableware.
