Erja Hirvi is a Helsinki-based textile and print designer. In her patterns, everyday reality and imagination combine to create powerful and colorful stories.

Erja's textile designs often draw inspiration from cities, gardens, and travel. She has been collaborating with Marimekko since 1995, and her Lumimarja (snow strawberry) and Purnukka (bottle) designs have become true Marimekko classic prints. In 2021, Erja was named Textile Designer of the Year by TEXO, the Finnish Association of Textile Artists.
