Aino-Maija is best known for her designs for Marimekko, including Jurmo (name of an island), Juhannustaika (midsummer magic), and the painterly patterned Sääpäiväkirja (weather diary) series. Aino-Maija is a graduate of the Helsinki University of Art and Design and has been collaborating with Marimekko since 2006.
